TO ALL PARISHIONERS

My dear friends

"In response to the Coronavirus pandemic, so many aspects of our lives must change. This includes the ways in which we publicly express our faith. It is very clear that, following official advice and in order to keep each other safe, save lives and support the NHS, at this time we must not gather for public acts of worship in our churches. This will begin from Friday evening, 20 March 2020, until further notice. www.cbcew.org.uk/coronavirus-guidelines

So to be clear, there will be no public Mass until further notice.

Fr David will celebrate the Mass privately every day and all the Mass Intentions recorded will be offeredThe Weekday Chapel will be open daily from 10.00 - 15.00 for private prayer so that you may spend time with the Lord in the Blessed Sacrament.

To download a liturgy for use 'When Mass cannot be Celebrated Publicly' please go to www.liturgyoffice.org.uk/Resources/Flu/No-Mass-A5.pdf

One way to join in the Mass is via live stream (see the dioceseofbrentwood link below) or the Walsingham link in our external pages. THE MASS AT WALSINGHAM ON 29 MARCH AT 11.00 WILL INCLUDE THE RE-DEDICATION OF ENGLAND AS THE DOWRY OF MARY.
Additionally, please find the link below to the Diocesan news page, where an article has been published with recommendations for parents with school-aged children to enable them to continue to worship in the home, and continue to mark the season of Lent and Easter.

As we continue through Lent towards Holy Week and Easter consider adding a spiritual retreat to you daily routine.

During these worrying times I want you to know that each and everyone of you is in my thoughts and prayers. Keep the faith: Keep Jesus, Mary and Joseph  close to your hearts as we pray for each other and the whole world. God bless you.

My love and prayers

Fr David
