ASSOCIATION FOR THE PROPAGATION OF THE FAITH

  THE RED BOX collects money for

1. The APF (Association for the Propogation of the Faith) which is the official charity for the overseas mission of the church.  It supports the church in some of the busiest, the poorest and the most isolated parts of the world.  The aid goes directly to local Bishops making sure every penny is well spent.

2. The Mill Hill Missionaries are priests, brothers and law associates working in 27 countries on every continent committed to serving the poor and to building up local faith communities.

The boxes are collected twice a year, or whenever anyone wishes their box contents to be counted, and is banked into the missions account.  Every holder gets a news magazine (Mission Today) which keeps all donors up to date with what the missions are doing and is a very good read.
